experience breeding top working lines. Many dogs have gone on to be
successful working and/or sport dogs, including many of which currently
work in law enforcement. Stud dogs and Bitches are available for

Police & Working K-9 Puppy Breeding Program
Upstate K-9 specializes in breeding top notch working K-9's for personal protection, service work, sport work, police departments, and government agencies. Our Police K-9 puppy program is designed to prepare dogs with the correct temperament and skills to serve all levels of law enforcement. Puppies are extensively trained and socialized daily, from birth up to 11-15 months of age. At that point, they are deployed with their new handlers and enter into department training schools.

Upstate K-9's stud dogs are carefully selected from top working pedigree's and have been proven producers used by Upstate K-9. You can see many of Upstate K-9's stud dogs off-spring working in Law Enforcement, Sport Work, Detection Services, Personal Protection and S.A.R.

Up and coming Upstate K-9 Breedings
Spike was originally imported for dual purpose police work but after weeks of evaluation and training here at Upstate K-9 we have decided to keep Spike as a new stud dog. Spike shows the balance and clarity in his head that we have been striving to produce for years. Most kennels say that they have a stud dog with extreme searching and extreme biting etc, but let me tell you for a young dog Spike shows no fear, SUPER strong grips with fast flying entries, and searching behavior with focus, clear headed and determination! Spike is currently training in narcotic detection and patrol work. Spikes pedigree is from the famous "Backhaus" lines.
